In 2008, the Great Recession rampaged across the USA. It resembled a pack of hungry Tyrannosauri - eating up jobs and financial stability everywhere. My work gradually moved to a digital format instead of small comics and art shows. People were at home and not at comic shops and records stores.

I took a cue from the funniest and most web savvy person that I knew from art school by making different and unusual series of web comics. That started on the now defunct Smack Jeeves site and then with a dedicated site at http://www.roachesbook.com. I self-published a book collecting this series in two editions beginning in 2010.

Then, I moved to another state and went through many career changes and computer equipment. Jobs? Jobs I worked included: Graphic Designer, Factory Worker, Order Picker at a huge warehouse, Internet Sales Associate, Cashier, Salesman, Web Designer, Equipment Rental Manager and then as a Store Assistant Manager. Some of these jobs weren't bad. I got to know people on a personal basis again after working in front of a computer for 15 years. Equipment? I bought a nice Apple iMac and a used Cintique tablet. The Cintique lasted a few chapters of web comic art and quit. My friend sold me a bitchin' Japanese Epson GT-15000 in 2018. It's a wide format scanner. It is worth much more than the price I paid. This was very generous. Since then, I've been able to digitize everything that I draw and then send to the iMac.

In March of 2020 COVID exploded nationwide. The president and his mob lied, bumbled and botched everything they came into contact with. People around me repeated these ridiculous lies. They joyfully recommended horse paste and anti-vax gibberish. They were fully propagandized.

I was fully employed and did not get ill. I kept a profitable small business together and worked a night job. On January 6th 2021, I sat stunned watching as a fired former president tried to take over America from the top down. I remember thinking that this was as bad as 9/11.

As of 2022, I've had less free time to work on illustrations and drawings. The art work that I have time to finish are at a much higher level of detail and clarity w/a clearer style. Going forward I am re-working older projects, working on illustrations for friends and family and exploring some science fiction and horror topics.
